Chauncey Strong, MSW, originally from Newark NJ, earned his BA degree in Social Work from Elizabeth City State University, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, in 1991 and his MSW from Norfolk State University, in Norfolk, Virginia in 1993.
Chauncey has more than 24 years of experience in child welfare and is a Consultant for The Capacity Building Center For States and a Foster Care Supervisor with Fairfax County Department of Family Services in Fairfax, Virginia. He has worked as a mentor, child welfare worker, supervisor, administrator and a community organizer.
Chauncey has severed on several national boards and committees and is a trainer, motivational speaker, and a committed advocate for children and families. He has dedicated his career to helping to improve the outcomes of children and families involved in the child welfare system.
