2017 CYFD Annual Foster Parent Conference

Preserving Sibling and Relative Connections is Helping to Preserve a Life

The New Mexico Children, Youth & Families Department (CYFD) honors their foster parents by sponsoring a 1.5 day (Friday/Saturday) annual state conference in the fall of each year. The event is intended to provide licensed CYFD foster parents with an opportunity to celebrate their service and acquire new knowledge and skills. The content of the conference is specially designed each year to address current needs in the foster care community. Foster parents receive a stipend check to offset travel expenses and limited onsite child care is provided for foster children in their care.
